Sunday School Teachers
Children are the future of our church. You can be a part of molding the beliefs of children of all ages by becoming a Sunday School teacher. We are looking for Sunday School teachers for the 2021-2022 school year. The only experience needed is a love of Christ, dedication to Sunday mornings, and a want to help children grow in their faith.

Scouts BSA Troop 72
By volunteering with Troop 72 you will get to help children of all ages grow into mature, responsible individuals. There is a boy’s, girl’s, and cub scout troop that are looking for volunteers to be pack leaders, help with events like campouts, the pinewood derby, and so much more!

Youth Leaders
The Youth are looking for leaders for the 2021-2022 school year. You can be a part of changing the youths’ lives and shaping their journey with God. Check out our youth page to see more about what our youth are up to!
UMCL Clean-Up
Do you have a love of keeping things tidy? Do you enjoy fixing up around the house? Well this is the opportunity for you! UMCL has small tasks around the church that need to get done. From changing lightbulbs to fixing doors, help keep our church looking beautiful!

Musical Volunteer Opportunities
Special Music
We encourage all with musical ability who enjoy solos or small musical ensembles to share their talents during our worship services. This includes vocal solos or groups and instrumental solos or groups.

Bell Choir
The Heritage Bell Choir is open to everyone who shares the joy of ringing handbells – no auditions required! The ability to read music and bell choir experience are recommended but not required. Bell choir performs monthly during worship September thru May.

Adult Choir
The UMCL Adult Choir is open to all who love to sing – no auditions required! The choir sings at our early service September thru May. We welcome all to join in this wonderful ministry to worship God thru song!

Praise Band
Our worship service is lead by our Praise Team. Those who play keyboard, guitar, drums or sing and have an interest in contemporary worship are encouraged to talk to Heather. Special performances, drama, dance, and poetry are also incorporated into contemporary worship periodically.

Get Involved In Local Missions
Fuller Center for Housing
In this volunteer experience, you can help build and repair homes for low-income families and individuals. Their mission is to “Give people a hand-up, not a handout”, so that they have an active role in their own transformation.

Feed My Starving Children
At Feed My Starving Children, you can provide children in need balanced, nutritional, meals that will sustain them. Two hours at FMSC helps feed hundred of children worldwide. This is an opportunity that you can do on your own or with family and friends of all ages.

Libertyville Food Pantry
Volunteers are always welcome and appreciated at the Food Pantry. With this opportunity you can help feed your own community. Please call the Food Pantry ahead to volunteer your time. If you do not have the time to give, you can donate needed items too!
